Cookie Policy

How ThankQR uses necessary cookies and optional local storage preferences.

REVISED / 16 July 2026
READ THIS FIRST

ThankQR uses a small set of cookies and local-storage entries to keep the product secure and, where you consent, to remember convenience settings on your device.

01

Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies support authentication, CSRF protection, session continuity, and other essential security controls. They are required for the host and guest apps to work correctly.

02

Preference storage

If you opt in, ThankQR stores limited preference data on your device to remember signup progress, guest drafts, saved UI preferences, and similar convenience settings. These are optional and can be declined.

03

Analytics category

Analytics remains off unless you explicitly enable it and our API confirms a current consent receipt. The receipt is represented by an opaque HttpOnly cookie shared across thank-qr.com and app.thank-qr.com and cannot be read by page scripts.

After consent, a short-lived session cookie supports pseudonymous journey measurement. Raw events are retained for 90 days and exclude IP addresses, full browser strings, host IDs, and event IDs.

04

Changing your choice

Use the Cookie settings link in either site footer to accept, reject, or withdraw analytics consent. Withdrawal stops new analytics immediately and schedules that browser’s unexpired raw events for deletion. Declining preference storage may remove saved drafts and local UI choices from that device.
